Internet Service in Wisconsin

In Wisconsin 94.6% of residents can access wired or wireless Internet at speeds of 10 Mbps. While this is not the highest rate in the country, it provides for the vast majority of the state. Despite this statistic, 24.8% of the Wisconsin population has no Internet service today.

Wisconsin residents have great Internet technology depending on where they live. 86.7% of the population has DSL access. 84.5% has cable Internet ability. 99.8% has wireless Internet available. Only 4.9% has fiber Internet available, making it one of the states with the fewest fiber Internet connections in the nation. Not surprisingly, choice is not much better. Only 25.6% of residents have the choice of 3 or more Internet service providers when shopping around.
